Mars transiting through the First House (Ascendant):  When Mars comes calling in this domicile get ready for action!  It is now that you will want to assert yourself with great passion.  But what aspect of your nature are you asserting?  Now is a time in which you will want to initiate plans and projects that mean a lot to you.  This is a good period to examine your drives and desires and to see if they come from the ego or from your higher self.  If the former, be prepared for conflict and opposition from others.  If the latter, you will receive a lot of support from other men and women of Goodwill.

Mars transiting through the Third House:  An afflicted Mars or Mars conjoining planets in this house may bring difficult encounters with siblings while positive Mars in this position takes such relationships to the next positive step.  You may also find that you are highly stimulated to express your thoughts and opinions.  All of the above would be very true in August and September when Mars is transiting through Gemini.  Mars through the Third is very good for initiating any writing or speaking program as you will want to put your thoughts forward although if you are too opinionated you may find opposition to your position.

Mars transiting through the Fourth House (Nadir):  Troubles at home and/or with parents likely in the latter part of the year if Mars is poorly aspected or afflicting planets here.  Otherwise, you come into very strong contact with your own inner feelings about yourself and life in general.  This is a good time for inner examination about your subjective motives for personal advancement and success.  You may find that you are not comfortable in your current home and need to either remove yourself or remove someone else (especially if Mars is the ruler of your Seventh House or is afflicting Venus). 

Mars transiting through the Fifth House:  Upsets likely with children or romance should Mars be in a difficult position from this house to the rest of the chart.  This can come with trying to be too dominating in the lives of young people in terms of the former, and too aggressive with lovers in terms of the latter.  This would be especially the case should the hard aspect be to the ruler of the Fifth and/or the Sun.  The positive encounters with Mars here are that you may find that your creative self-expression is highly stimulated and you wish to go forward with associated plans and projects. 

Mars transiting through the Sixth House:  Troubles with people who work for you are likely if Mars is afflicted or afflicting other planets.  This would be true especially of people who work in or around your house during the last three months of this year.  Stomach and diet-related ailments may also come about at this same time.  Yet if Mars is well placed, the likelihood of advancement in your job is quite possible.  You may also decide that now is the time to take the initiative in any form of self-improvement.  Again, if Mars looks good in this house, it is a fine time to engage in a martial art or initiate a sports program to benefit your physical condition.

Mars transiting through the Seventh House (Descendant):  Challenges in relationships are always likely if Mars is travelling through the house of partnership and is in difficult aspects to other parts of the chart.  If all is well and Mars is positively placed here, look for your relationship to move forward into new territory.  You may also feel like initiating a new romance or business contact.  The former is very likely should Mars in this house be positively connected to the ruler of or planets in the Fifth.  Look to the business side of things when Mars is harmoniously touching planets that are connected to the Sixth or the Tenth. 

Mars transiting through the Eighth House:  This is a period for renewal.  Forces are stirred within you that seek to banish unnecessary desires from your life or poor ways of expressing yourself in terms of your sexual or financial needs.  You want to spring forth with more powerful energy that allows you to conquer obstacles and impediments.  Yet you have to find out when you are being in your own way of such accomplishments. During the last three months of this year, take steps to see that the relationship between your emotional and sexual needs are clean and clear to you.  If they are, you can move forward in your intimate relationships into new and uncharted emotional territory with courage.  If not, it is time for a psychological house cleaning.

Mars transiting through the Ninth House:  A strong and powerful Mars here is telling you to take a journey of self-exploration.  This can be done either intellectually or physically or both!  This would be especially the case hound Aries or Gemini rule this house.  You should then look for such activities to fall between May 17 to June 24 in terms of the Ram and August 6 to the end of September in terms of the Twins.  A difficult Mars here means that you are pushing yourself too hard in terms of higher educational aims and goals.  It might be a time to pull back and reassess where you really want to go in this respect and if the output of energy your are expressing is worth the effort.
